Karen Rich, born on September 25, 1963, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away on June 29, 2025, in Hartford, Connecticut. She was 61 years old.

Karen brought warmth and light to the lives of those around her. A bright and loving soul, she was known for her cheerful spirit, unwavering kindness, and positive outlook. She always had something kind to say and carried herself with a grace that lifted others up-never letting anything or anyone bring her down.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Kayleigh and her son Justin. Karen's family meant the world to her, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her sister Theresa and father Thomas preceded her in death.

Karen found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved the beach-the sound of waves and the feel of sand beneath her feet brought her peace. Nature was a sanctuary for her, whether it was a walk through the woods or simply sitting outside enjoying the breeze. She delighted in watching movies and could often be found curled up with a good fantasy novel or working on a jigsaw puzzle. Shopping was one of her favorite pastimes-she embraced it with enthusiasm and style. Her kitchen was another place where she shined; cooking brought her happiness, especially when shared with friends and family.

Her dogs were constant companions who brought her comfort and laughter. Time spent with friends and loved ones filled Karen's days with meaning and joy.
