Karen Rossi Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 28, 2025.
**Karen Marie Rossi**, 67, passed away on June 10, 2025, in Naples, Florida. Born on October 6, 1957, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Karen grew up in Cranford, where she graduated from Cranford Senior High School in 1975. Surrounded by friends and family throughout her youth, she carried the warmth of those early relationships with her throughout her life.

Karen was a dynamic and spirited woman who embraced life with passion and flair. A natural saleswoman, she found her calling in the fitness world alongside her best friend Shelia Pacinelli. Working at Shelia's women-only health club, Karen quickly became the top salesperson and a beloved fitness instructor. Her dedication to health and wellness was matched only by her enthusiasm for helping others feel their best.

Her creativity extended far beyond the gym. Karen had an extraordinary eye for design and a deep love for decorating. She poured her heart into every space she touched, transforming houses into beautiful homes filled with charm and personality. Her talent was so profound that even her ex-husbands home bore her signature style completed just before her untimely passing.

Karen's devotion to her family was unwavering. She is lovingly remembered by her sister Honey Lewis and brother-in-law James Lewis of Miami Shores, Florida, along with their children Justin and Melissa Lewis. She leaves behind her son Michael Laferrara and his children Dominic, Vincent, and Joseph Laferrara, as well as their mother Melissa Laferrara; her son Anthony Laferrara and his wife Sarah, along with their children Milana, Rocco, and Michael Jr.; her daughter Tara Laferrara Sievtek and husband Teddy Sievtek with their beloved Frankie; and her son Alfred P. Prisco, and his love, Leah, from New York City, Karen also shared a deep bond with her cherished fur baby Gracee.

She was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Irene Rossi of Cranford, New Jersey.

In recent years, Karen experienced a profound spiritual awakening. She found great comfort in her faith and often visited Catholic churches wherever she traveled-most recently stepping into the sacred halls of St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. Her days were filled with scripture readings that she joyfully shared with those close to her.

Karen was a vibrant soul who loved shopping for bargains to surprise loved ones with thoughtful gifts. Her youthful spirit shone through in the laughter she shared with her grandchildren and the jokes that kept everyone smiling. Her strength was evident to all who knew her-especially to those closest to her like Shelia and Honey-who admired both her resilience and radiant energy.

A memorial service celebrating Karens life was held in Naples, Florida.

Karen Marie Rossi will be remembered as a passionate mother, devoted grandmother, gifted decorator, loyal friend, and a woman whose zest for life left an indelible mark on everyone she met. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Mass will be held on July 5, 2025, from 09:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Dt Ambrose Catholic Church 270 n pompano beach blvd
