Karen SORENSEN Obituary
August 16, 1936 – August 17, 2014
Our family is deeply saddened to announce the death of our sweet, loving Mor, Mormor, Farmor, Karen, resulting from a tragic car accident while on vacation in Denmark. Her sister and brother-in-law died with her.
Karen was predeceased by her husband Frovin.
Mor will be lovingly remembered by her children Birte (Jim) Evans, John (Katherine) Sorensen, Lisbeth (Randy) Case; her grandchildren Breanna, Natalie, Krystal, Thomas, Christian and Julia; her relatives in Denmark and friends on both continents.
We would like to send a special thank you to our family and friends for their kind support at this difficult time.
A Celebration of Karen's Life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Westlawn Funeral Home, 16310 Stony Plain Road.
Donations in Karen's memory may be made to the Edmonton Humane Society, 13620 136 Street NW, Edmonton, AB, T5V 0B2.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Karen, to Brite, Lisbeth and John and your familys my sincere condolences. Your mom and i worked together at the Gov't, she was a wonderful kind lady with the biggest smile on her face always. May your families cherish all the memories of her.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Karen's passing while spending time with her family in Denmark. My memories of Karen are shared with my sister Joanne Thember who has been a childhood friend to Birte Evans. There are no words to express the feelings when a child loses their parent. a person who was vibrant and shared so much of herself. May the memories and her legacy carry the family through in this difficult time.
