Karen Stock Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Apr. 20 to Apr. 23, 2023.
Karen Elizabeth (Kiessling) Stock, 60, loving wife to surviving spouse Todd Stock and mother of

two surviving daughters Rachel and Brianna, passed away on April 12, 2023 at Sacred Ground

Hospice House after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Karen was born on December 9, 1962 in Marshall, Michigan to William and Ellen (Kreutzkamp)

Kiessling. She completed her undergraduate studies at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin

and then earned her master's degree in psychology from Western Michigan University. On

September 14, 1991, she married Todd Stock in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Three years later they

moved to Knoxville, Tennessee where they raised their two daughters.

Karen had a passion for her belief in God, her family, and helping children. She was an active

church member at Grace Lutheran Church for over 25 years and lived her life for God. She was

always present with people. Her caring, nurturing qualities were keys in her professional career

where she worked primarily with children.

Karen was preceded in death by her unborn infant, grandparents, brothers David (infant) and

Dennis Kiessling; and in-laws Clifford, Arlene (Free) and Douglas Stock. She is survived by her

parents William and Ellen Kiessling, siblings Elaine (James) Carbary, Jolene (Frank) Vigliarolo,

and Douglas (Connie) Kiessling; in-laws Gregory (Victoria) Stock and Wendy (John) Meyer; and

many loved nephews and nieces.

A celebration of life service and interment will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 11:00am

at Grace Lutheran Church in Knoxville, Tennessee.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Sacred Ground Hospice

House (www.sacredgroundhospicehouse.com) or Child Fund International (1-800-776-6767 in

memory of Karen Stock ID#1241444). Both organizations were very important to Karen.

Karen was one of my best friends at Marshall High School. We were both in the band. I have so many wonderful memories of Karen. Win Schulers Taco Tuesdays (only time we could afford to go); Pizza Hut get together with friends; getting lost going to KZoo mall in my car; meeting at Lakeland mall in Battle Creek zillions of times.... Karen lived on a farm with Turkeys, learned a lot about their skittishness, who knew. I met her in Wisconsin while she and Todd were courting, they were head over heels in love. Lost touch with Karen after that, but have thought of her often, through the years. Rest In Peace my dearest friend! I will always remember our friendship

I am devastated to learn of Karen´s passing. We were good friends in school in Marshall, Michigan . We lost touch overtime, but I would still think about her. Those who became her Tennessee family were blessed to know Karen. I know she loved working with children. Todd, Rachel, and Brianna, my heart goes out to you for this significant loss in your life. I would also like to extend my condolences to the Kiessling family.

My heart is broken. Karen showed and shared unconditional love for everyone she came into contact with, regardless of age or station in life. Rachel and Brianna, I know you will honor your Mom as you carry her in your heart. Todd, God blessed you mightily. She has preceded you into God´s arms and there will be joy coming. I loved Karen and she was loved by all who came into contact with her. I will be praying for peace for you all.
