Karen Thomas Obituary
Family will receve friends from 5 till 8 Sunday at Woodstock Funeral Home.
Born in Seoul Korea. Mrs. Thomas worked in home health care most of her career. She was a member and volunteered at Northwest Christian Church food pantry in Acworth and Meals for Wheels. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Proceeded in death by father John "Jack" V. Meeneghan.
Survived by:
Husband - Captain (Retired) Larry W. Thomas, US Army of Kennesaw, GA
2 sons - Joshua J. Thomas and his wife Miriam; Bryon J. Thomas and his wife Anna.
Mother - Audrey Meeneghan of Carlisle, PA
grandchildren - Elizabeth P. Thomas; Iliana I. Thomas; and Caprina B. Thomas
Sister -Linda Meeneghan of Carlisle, PA
Brothers - Terry Meeneghan of Pittsburgh, PA; Eric Meeneghan of Fort Collins, CO

I just found out about Karens passing from my son Jacob Wittkopp. I remember her as a very sweet person. She took us for Korean food one time when she was down for a visit. God bless you.

The service yesterday was so beautiful; it depicted the beauty of Karen, which one also sees in Karen's beautiful smile in all those wonderful pictures that have been posted. Thank you for sharing her with those of us who hadn't had the privilege of actually meeting her. We know her through knowing Bryon; Bryon is truly an extension of Karen's beauty and we are grateful to have Bryon in our lifes.

I can't help but remember the time before she was married to you, Larry, and she allowed me to come on one of your dates. She was generous that way. She will be greatly missed. Our prayers are with all of you for God's comfort & strength.

Words cannot express how sadden I am to hear about Karen. We've only been friends for a short time, but the times we spent talking and having lunch meant so much to me. I will deeply miss her and our time together. She always told me what I blessing I was to her, but I don't think she truly realized how much of a blessing she was to me. My thoughts and prayer are with all of you. May God wrap you in His loving arms, comfort you and fill you with His peace.
