Karen Wagner, 64, of Seattle, Washington passed away in her sleep the morning of November 16, 2011. She had been fighting a brain tumor since August of 2010. She is mourned by, and will be lovingly missed by her husband and care giver, Ronald Leamon and their daughter, Anna Kay; her sisters, Ann and her husband Parker Marden of Topsham, ME; Lola and her husband Robert Moffatt of Auburn, MA; brother, Glen Wagner and his wife Kathy of Limerick, ME; nieces and nephews.

Born in Holden, MA and raised in Worcester, she was the daughter of O. Glen and Violet Wagner. She was a graduate of North High School and Clark University.

A Facebook posting from her daughter: "My mother passed away sometime early this morning. She was wonderful, incredibly kind, immensely creative and talented, inquisitive and candidly real, highly intelligent, unabashedly spun-

ky, confident and strong, and to top it all off, she was an absolutely beautiful woman. She sure loved the heck out of me. I will carry her with me always".

I was so blessed to be a friend of Karen's while we were students at Clark University. She was a truly lovely person- full of fun, compassion, kindness, and a wonderful spirit. She once accompanied me on a visit home to my family in NJ and they just loved her and were thrilled to meet her. I'll always keep Karen in my thoughts and prayers and am always grateful that she was in my life.

I was blessed to meet Karen at the Group Health Cancer Support Group. Her courage, honesty, and kindness were a gift and help as I cope with the cancer in my family. I can still see and hear her as she shared that the making of her final arrangements now allowed her to live with a weight lifted (we've yet to follow her good example). She made a difference in Group and I miss her.

We met Karen at the Group Health Cancer Support Group. We remember her as a practical, straight-forward woman who knew what her prognosis was, and lived the best life she could in spite of it. We learned so much from her journey, most importantly, to remember to tell people that you love them.
One day she brought in a Pearls Before Swine cartoon which starts, "You enter this world alone, you leave this world alone," but Pig says, "but in between, we've got donuts!" When I think of Karen, I will always think of donuts, and how to live life fully. Love,
Debby

Karen was brilliant, talented, down-to-earth, and boy, could she make me laugh. She was a colleague, a friend and a counselor to many of us. She will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathies to Ron, Anna and family.

Ron and Anna, Karen and I used to talk about her latest craft projects and knitting but she was always proud to talk about what Anna was up to. You both were very important in her life, as was her dog. Take care.

The words of the song "you light up my life" was how I felt whenever I met with Karen & Ron. She will be solely missed by all.

Working along side of Karen a the UW Business School, I learned to appreciate her intelligence and devotion to students in the school. I was sorry when she retired as she was a "work" friend and i have missed seeing her. My best wishes to her husband and family. She was a very special person.

Karen and I worked together for 15 years at the UW. We were close in age and always had lots to talk about even though our interests were rarely the same. As you probably know, Karen had strong opinions and wasn't shy on sharing them. I admired her intellect, artistic and writing talent, her sense of humor, and her beautiful complexion. I will miss her friendship.

Ron and Anna, I'm so sorry for your loss. Karen had such zest for living, and apparent eagerness to share it with others. I have fond memories of her, even though I knew her such a short time. I thought of you yesterday, and how many wonderful memories you have of your life together. I am grateful for having met her.

I am so sorry to hear this news. I first met Karen at the UW, when I was a student assistant in the office. She was hilarious and clever and shared with me her love of beads. When I returned a few years later as an employee, we then discussed knitting and our latest projects. I have very very fond memories of Karen. What a remarkable woman.

Ron, Anna - I am so sorry for your loss. Karen was an integral part of my experiences in the Foster School and will be remembered and missed. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to get to know her. I will always remember her stories, advice, encouragement, support and humor. Karen was always available to listen and lend her support. I am eternally grateful for the time I got to spend with her.

I am so very sorry to hear this news. Karen was a wonderful classmate at North High -- we were bio lab partners at one point (she did all the work while I watched, marveling at her ability to take it on.) I remember her as especially kind, thoughtful, bright, and lots of fun to be with. The Facebook entry said it all. I will be thinking of all of you and remembering a very special person, who all these years later, stands out in my memory.

I was so sad to hear that Karen has passed away. I learned so much from her and enjoyed just talking with her. Loved her laugh. I think she was one of the best people I've ever met. I'm very very sorry...truly sorry.

I am so sorry for your sorrow. Wish words could take the pain away, but they just don't do it. If I could, I would give you all a hug. You are all in my prayers, especially Lola & Bob as they are in the same Bible class as I am. We, at the Bible study have been praying for Karen and your whole family during her struggle.

We are truly sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family.
