My heart ached when I read the Karl had passed away. I had known him since we were children and had the wonderful experience of renewing our friendship in our later years. Karl was sweet, kind, thoughtful and a true friend to me. I am sorry now, that we didn't keep in touch over the last few years, even if it was just for me, to let him know what a great friend and special person he is. He will always be a great memory for me.

I've known Karl since we were in 5th grade. He was an outgoing, fun loving person that always had a smile for you - and that smile was contagious. He was a devoted friend, and a strong community member. His face book is full of friends that are mourning his passing, as he has left an emptiness that will not be easily filled. Those of us that knew Karl are better for it, as he enriched us all. I still hear his jokes, hear his laughter, and then feel his loss. There is so much good that can be said about Karl, it's a shame that his obituary doesn't reflect the story of him - because Karl was a good story, Karl was a good friend, Karl was a kind, thoughtful, wonderful person - I will miss you.
