Karol ROHAN Obituary
1922 - 2014
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Karol Rohan on November 9, 2014. Fellow of the Order of Engineers of Canada, Karol was an accomplished researcher and Professor of Hydraulic Engineering, notably at the Research Institute in Bratislava, Slovakia and Université de Sherbrooke. His research focused on large hydroelectric projects on the Danube river in Europe and James Bay in Québec. He is survived by Elena, his wife of 68 years, his children Ivan (Audrey Karass) and Peter (Maria Kuchel), as well as his grandchildren Caroline (Marc Larouche), Thomas, Tia and Toby and great- granddaughter Charlotte. Karol's gentle, humane spirit coupled with his strength of character will remain an inspiration to us all, and we will greatly miss him. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the
