We met Dr. Kate back in 2016, when our oldest was born. He was born with a brain disorder and had some complications at birth...so we were extra nervous parents. After our first visit with her, the front desk asked who we wanted to be our primary dr. And I knew immediately that it was her. Our second was born in 2019 and she doted on him just as much as our first. She saw us through never ending ear infections, fevers, etc. Our boys were in daycare and constantly sick, so she came to know us very well. Lol. She was patient, kind, funny, warm, great with children...the list goes on. We frequented the office so much, that she gave us her cell phone number for anything we needed. That´s just the kind of person she was. Our boys absolutely loved going to the dr because they knew they got to talk and hang out with her for a short bit of time. When she left the practice, we were heartbroken. We will never find another person like Dr. Kate. She broke the mold when she was born. My family absolutely adored her and our hearts ache knowing she left the world too soon. Many prayers for her family. It´s comforting to know she´s at peace now.

As a friend of Kate´s son Misha, I´ll always remember how welcome she made me feel whenever I came over to their home. Without fail, she would always ask how I was doing and would always (always!) make sure I was fed.
While often soft-spoken, she had a wicked sharp sense of humor and a knack for making a quiet remark that would catch us off guard and leave us howling with laughter (to have that effect on us then-teenage boys was really saying something!).
And while she quieter in her ways, her caring nature and compassion for others was anything but. I saw the example she set for her son, and the words of loving wisdom she would impart on him during those most formative years.
I´ll miss seeing Kate when I make my visits back to Ohio. I´ll miss the smile I always left with after our conversations, where she was quick with a quip after I´d promise that I´d "stay out of trouble." I´ll miss her gentle and comforting presence, and I´ll take solace in knowing that her selfless and loving spirit lives on in her children, who it was clear to see she loved so much.

Rest in Peace Kate. I have so many memories of you throughout the years. You taught me many things which made me a better person and better mother. I still remember how beautiful you looked on your wedding day. I was only 12 or 13 when you and my brother got married and I was thinking that one day I want to be like you. You touched the lives of many people, and even in the difficult times of your life you did your best to stay loving and caring towards others. Now that all the pain is gone you can enjoy eternal peace in the heavenly home.
Misha and Ola I keep you in my prayers and wish you healing and peace. Remember that your mother´s love is always with you as a silent force of strength and comfort.

Dr. Kate was an incredible pediatrician for my two boys, now 11 and 8. She was compassionate and empathetic to us as parents, was kind and instinctively trustworthy. She took our kids incessant questions seriously, and always had time for a joke or a smile. Gone too soon. Our very best for her family.

Kate was my neighbor in Ohio for many years. Her son, Misha grew up with my son, JJ. They are still friends. Many times Kate would ask me, "Have you seen Misha?" My response was, "No, but I assume he is with JJ."
