Katherine Lanier Carroll

Katherine Lanier Carroll, 91, of Trimble, died Sunday, May 2, 2010 at her daughter's residence in Newbern. She was a retired bookkeeper for Trimble School, a member of Trimble United Methodist Church, member of Town and Country Literary Club, Trimble Women's Club and Trimble Lion's Club. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern with the Rev. Buck Carroll officiating. The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Survivors include a daughter: Barbara Troutt (Jimmy) of Newbern; a 1 grandson: Mike Myers (Linda) of Newbern; two great-grandsons: Dr. Clint Myers and wife, Dr. Tiffany Myers of Knoxville and Matt Myers of Fort Benning, Ga.; two step grandsons, Dr. Mike Post and wife Dr. Sherry Post of Hendersonville and Jon Eric Troutt (Virginia) of Newbern; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Evans of Mesquite, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Carroll; her parents, Lona Cherry Lanier and William Brady Lanier; and two sisters, Elease Bryan and L. B. Lanier; and a brother, Paul Lanier. Pallbearers will be Greg Donaldson, Terry Max Newsom, Robert Ell Hurt, Horace Doss, Jon Eric Troutt and Mike Myers. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Myers, Dr. Clint Myers and Dr. Mike Post.
