Susan Arlene Lampkin, 67, of Macon, MO, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022, at the Samaritan Hospital in Macon.
Susan was born on November 29, 1954, in Macon, the daughter of Charles Norman and Annette Lorene (Harris) Hicks. Susan was united in marriage to William Russell Lampkin on September 3, 1983 in Macon. Susan was a member of the Bethel AME Church in Macon and she worked at several locations in Macon including: Loch Haven Nursing Home, Super 8 Motel and the Macon County Health Department among others. Susan enjoyed watching her soap operas and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Susan is survived by her husband, William Lampkin, two sons, Jon-Tomas Lampkin and his wife Jacque of Columbia, MO, and Nathaniel Scott Lampkin of Macon, three step-children, William Lampkin-Rhodes of Terre Haute, IN, Travis Talton, and Michael Yancey, both of Columbia, MO, eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, one brother, Wesley Hicks and his wife Diana, two sisters, Regina Ross and her husband David, and Toni Davis all of Macon, two step-sisters, Michelle Hicks of Columbia, MO, and Nicole Hicks, both of Columbia, and nieces, nephews, and other extended family and in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Kevin and Noel.
Funeral services will be 4:00 pm, Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Friday evening, at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association or the Bethel AME Church of Macon.
