HAYES, Katherine L. "Kathy" 63, of West Milton, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015, at Brookdale of Englewood. She was born August 1, 1952, in Greenville, to Thomas J. and Elizabeth M. (Mondics) Stephens. Her parents survive in Arcanum. Kathy is survived by her husband, Dr. David R. Hayes; three sons, Kevin (Theresa) McGlinch of Argyle, Texas, Bradley (Cara) Hayes of Arcanum, and Mark Hayes of Vandalia; seven grandchildren; sisters Karen Garbig of Arcanum, Kris Rinehart of Arcanum, and Marilyn Thompson of Arcanum. She was a member of Hoffman United Methodist Church, where she was the Hoffman Mission Team organizer and was active with the Kid's Hope program. Kathy was past president of T.W.I.G.S. and Auxiliary of Children's Medical Center. She was active with many local organizations and worked with her husband at the veterinary clinic for many years. She also was very active with her children and grandchildren's activities. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 9, at Hoffman United Methodist Church, 201 S. Main St., West Milton, with Pastors Robbie Scott and Ricci Arthur officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St., West Milton. Memorial contributions may be made to Hoffman UMC Missions Fund.
