O'Meara Katherine R. O'Meara, age 56, died peacefully on 10/31/04 after an 8 year battle with breast cancer. Kathy was loved and survived by her husband, Tom; sons, Tommy and Timmy; sisters, Ida (Michael) Baker of Chino Hills, CA; Sara Fanucchi of Santa Monica, CA; Jane Rodriguez of Monrovia, CA; Liz (Greg) Bunnell of McKinney, TX; brothers, George (Harumi) Hauptman of Sacramento, CA; Martin (Francine) Hauptman of Northridge, CA; Fred (Sujin) Hauptman of Los Angeles, CA; Ted (Jackie) Hauptman of Vernon, British Columbia; and nephews and nieces, Mark, Jennifer, Lisa, Sara, Marissa, Jonathan, Heather, Jeffrey, Brian, Danny and Katie. Kathy grew up in Minneapolis and attended Roosevelt High School. She graduated from Concordia University, St. Paul. For the last twelve years she worked for the Council on Crime and Justice. She was an active member of Trinity First Lutheran Church. Kathy touched many lives and was always ready and willing to help anyone in need. She will be remembered for her love of music, her gift of piano playing and her cherished times gardening. But mostly, she will be remembered for her strong faith and unrelenting support for family, friends and those in need. Memorial Service Sat 10 a.m., Trinity First Lutheran Church 1115 East 19th Street. Visitation at church one hour prior to service. Henry W. Anderson Mortuary 612-729-2331

I have known the O'Meara's for five years. I will never forget Kathy's warm smile and kindness. She was so giving to her family. I remember that she would bring her husband Tom lunch to work very often. Their love for each other was admirable.
