Kathleen ALDI Obituary

Published by Edmonton Journal on Aug. 15, 2015.
ALDI, Kathleen "Kay"
August 23, 1927 – August 6, 2015
It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, grandma and great-grandma, Kay Aldi of Spruce Grove, at the age 87 years.
She leaves to mourn her loss her sisters Babs Sims and May Halhead, children Ken (Denise), David (Melody), Allan (Margaret), Wendy (Alain), Glen (Patricia), and Donna (Pierre), daughter-in- law Paula, as well as 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Verla Roberts and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Henry, sons Rick and Lyle, and her brother Jack. Kay will be dearly missed by her longtime loving friend and companion Hal Forss and his family.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrews United Church (1A Fieldstone Dr., Spruce Grove) on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kay's name may be made to Camp He Ho Ha.
The family would like to thank the Dr's and the wonderful staff of Westview Continuing Care Center.
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an after glow of smiles when
life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly
down the ways.
Of happy times and laughing times and
bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve
to dry before the sun,
of happy memories that I leave,
when life is done.

I am very sad to lose my dear friend Kay. I was her hairdresser for twenty years and we shared many laughs and news of family and friends. I always looked forward to my 9 o'clock Friday client. I'll miss you Kay. My thoughts are with Kay's family and Hal.
