| Send Sympathy Card CABELL, Kathleen Buchanan, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 3, 2016. She was predeceased by her husband, Royal Eubank Cabell Jr.; and son, Royal Eubank Cabell III. She is survived by her son, Charles Lorraine Cabell (Liza); daughter, Kathleen Cabell Taylor (Backy); six grandchildren, Katherine Cabell Watson (Brian), Margret Haremza Cabell (Jamey), Lauren Belk Neal (John), Kathleen Belk Doffermyre (Randolph), Samuel Cabell and Jordan Alexandra Cabell; and three great-grandchildren. Born and raised in West Virginia, she graduated from Agnes Scott College, worked briefly in New York City and soon married her beloved husband, Roy. As a young homemaker and mother in Richmond, Va., she began a career as a community volunteer. In the late 1970s, Kathleen and Roy began the project of moving and restoring a Cabell family home, Union Hill. They worked side by side cleaning the woodwork and making the house a home as construction progressed on a beautiful hill in Manakin-Sabot, Va. Kathleen also spent hours researching the history of the house and its residents. She and Roy lived there happily until his death in 1999. She continued living there with her dog, Mr. Prince,...
