Kathleen Muriel Naas, 90, of Halifax, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2010 in the QE Health Sciences Center, Infirmary Site. Born in Yarmouth, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Cribbs. Kaye was a previous member of the Basinview Seniors Club and a regular at "Ford Street" She loved dancing, playing cards, writing poetry and rhymes, eating in restaurants, "acting the fool", being with friends and family, and doing for others. She was the kindest of souls, with a heart of gold and will be remembered for her thoughtfulness and charming sense of humor. "Nanny" as she was known to many, was truly the best grandmother and friend a girl could have. Always a guiding light and a true inspiration. Kaye leaves behind her special friend – "cat Misty". She is survived by granddaughter, Tanya Ozard (Chuck Langdon); niece Kathleen Davis. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Naas, daughter, Carole (Ozard) MacKean and sister Dorothy Fader. Tayna,

My heart goes out to you , my mother was Marjorie Naas ,Douglas' sister .I have so much respect and love for my Auntie Kaye and Uncle Dougie who both brought me so much happiness and fun to my life when I was a young girl. Aunt Kaye was a special person and "acting the fool' made being with her so special and I will always remember the little ditties she taught me on the long drive when they took me to visit my grandmother in Lunenburg .
I used to babysit you Tayna when you were very young for your Mom and Dad in Clayton Park and you loved to play board games so you must be alot like your Nanny and I am sure she must have made your life so full and you have alot of great memories.
I will always remember Aunt Kaye as someone who made a very distinct mark on my life and I thank her for that.

My condolences to your family on the passing of your loved one. Madeline spoke so highly of "Auntie Kay" I felt that I almost knew her. She made a huge impact on my co-worker Madeline's life. I will be thinking of this on Wednesday. She must have left you all with many, many fond memories. Please accept my sincere sympathy.
