Hello Bob,

I never forgot the time you introduced me to your sister at JMU. I never forgot her outgoing, cheerful personality.
Kathy had a gift of making a connection to everyone she met.
She spread the warmth and kindness of her heart to many others.
I also never forgot the time I met your mom and dad.
Kathy was a reflection of a great family.

My Deepest Sympathy to Kathy's Family,

My Deepest Sympathy for the Family and Friends of Kathy Currie Thomson. I worked closely with Kathy in the mid 1980s when she was a Computer Sales Consultant in Springfield. I never forgot her name, face or kindness. She was a beautiful, caring person. She loved people more deeply than anyone I have ever met.

To Chase and Family,

Kathy was a dear neighbor. I have fond memories of her walking her chocolate Lab. The last time we spoke, she was walking from the mailbox with her dog. Her smile will be missed. Love Leona

We met Kathy and Chase 2 years ago when we moved in next door. Kathy was so welcoming and the first thing we think about when we hear her name is her laugh. We loved hearing about what was going on with her life. She was always so animated that when she told you a story you just had to laugh. We will miss her deeply and our hearts and prayers go out to Chase and the family during this time.

My husband and I are grieved and deeply saddened to hear this unexpected and unwelcome news. Kathy shone a bright light on everyone she touched and drew us, who were fortunate to know her, into the warmth and radiance that was Kathy. From the first moments that we knew her she exuded generosity, liveliness, caring, and, of course, her indomitable spirit. We will miss you greatly, Kathy, but we will never forget you. To Chase, Lance, and all the family, we send our deepest sympathy and hope that these words give you some comfort. Chase, Lance, we love you dearly. Although we live far away, we hold you close in our hearts.

I offer my deepest sympathies and prayers to Kathy's family. As many have said, Kathy was an incredible person who brought warmth and laughter to all that she did. The halls of HP will never be the same without her smiling face and shining personality, however she wil always be amongst us in our thoughts. I know that her love of Chase was second to none. I enjoyed comparing teenage son stories with her! No matter the discussion, her depth of love for Chase was always so apparent. May God bless her soul and give peace and comfort to her family and friends.

I can't think of a greater compliment to pay someone than to acknowledge that they were a dedicated and loving parent. Anyone who came in contact with Kathy could see this was obvious when it came to her only son Chase. She was also extremely kind, generous and patient toward Chase's friends. They are sad not only because their buddy Chase is sad but because they will genuinely miss their times with ‘Miss Kathy'.

There are some folks in this world that when you see them, a smile and a laugh immediately comes out of you. You enjoy being around them. They can brighten your day in a split second. Kathy was one of those people for sure. Such a bright light, genuine soul and wonderful sense of humour. I especially will miss the conversations she and I had about her son Chase. She was a very proud of him and seeing her face light up telling stories about Chase is something I will miss very much. God calls us all home, some sooner than others. We will miss her very much, speak of her often and always have a smile on our face when we remember her.

Words cannot even begin to express our sorrow. Kathy was a most memorable person with tremendous personal warmth and a caring personality. Kathy lit up every meeting with her charm and sense of humor. Having worked with her on a nearly daily basis for more than five years, she always demonstrated personal courage and integrity. During that time we have had many conversations about family and friends. I have found her to be a loving and dedicated Mother to her son Chase and a compassionate caregiver for her family. Kathy loved her work and was committed to success. My wife Dana and I are so deeply saddened by her departure. We will always remember incredible smile and her love for her son Chase. We wish her family our sincerest condolences with our deepest sympathies. We are with you during this time of grief. Dana & Stuart Baker (Falls Church).
