Kathleen Turner Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 28, 2024.
Kathleen Marie Turner, known affectionately as "Kitty," age 57, of Hardy, Arkansas, departed this life on December 27, 2023. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, on February 11, 1966, she was the beloved daughter of Charles & Lorene Turner and Judith Powell Beck. Kitty was known for her vivacious and selfless nature, always putting others before herself.

Kitty leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity, as evidenced by her surviving family. She is mourned by her children: Christopher McConathy; Amanda Garrett, mother to Kylee, Caleb, and Evelyn; John Paul Baker and his wife Sarah; and Monica Rae Avolevan and her husband Louie. Her life was enriched by the presence of her father, Charles, and her mothers Lorene and Judith. Kitty's memory will be cherished by her twin sister, Colleen Marie Astedt, and her husband Eddie Bates; her brother, Vince Kyle Wilkins; and her sister, Karen Lorene Morgan, and her husband Tommy. She will be forever remembered by her nephews Michael Cornu and wife, Alexis, Jeffrey Cornu, Thomas Morgan, Charles Morgan, Vince Kyle Wilkins Jr., and her niece, Kayla Price and husband Brett. She was predeceased by her treasured granddaughter, Adalee Grace.

Kitty took pride in her career with the railroad from which she retired, leaving a mark of dedication and excellence. Her educational pursuits at Ozarka College were a testament to her commitment to personal growth and professional development.

The family announces that memorial services for Kitty will be held at a date to be determined. Instead of flowers, they kindly request directing donations to Grace House of Memphis, where a fund in her name supports clients in need.

Kitty's radiant spirit and enduring kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life's journey was a beacon of joy and compassion, and her memory will be held in the highest regard. Rest in eternal peace, Kathleen Marie "Kitty" Turner.

Kitty was so kind. Kitty was a teacher at First Baptist Church Preschool where both of my boys went. They loved her as did I. We miss you Kitty. Give Tyler a hug for me

I´ve been with my sister since we were in the womb. I aways said God loves us so much he made two of us. My first memorie of my sister were swimming at rough river . Getting bubble gum cigars. Making mud pies under willow tree in grandmas yard. Riding the twirly bird ( today it would be considered a death trap). The funnies memory was when kitty and I rode a ride at a side carnival in the middle of nowhere ,It raised up in the air and spun. Kitty was a-little larger than me and with the spinning I was smashed up against the side of our seat. I laughed so hard. There are millions more memories but not enough room here. My sissy was the best and I miss her so much.

She ask me to swing her on the swing at the resort Karen and I were spending the weekend. She and her twin Coco and Karen enjoyed the swings as I pushed each one in turn.
