Fairview Heights, Illinois - Kathryn Donohue, 73, of Fairview Heights, IL, born, June 21, 1948 in Paragould, AR and passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Memorial East Hospital, O'Fallon, IL.
Kathy worked as a Floral Designer, retiring from Grimm and Gorly Florist, Belleville, IL. She was a active member and Past President of the Elks Lodge 664 Ladies Auxillary, Fairview Heights. She kept busy raising 5 children and all the jobs that came with it including being a CYO counselor, a bus driver and many coaching activities. Kathy enjoyed her family always supporting her children and grandchildren. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with John, the love of her life, sitting in the sunroom drinking her coffee and watching nature and all of its beauty.
She was preceded in death by her son, John L. Donohue Jr.; her grandson, Jacob Potter; her parents, Amos and Gracie (nee Decker) Hackworth; her brothers, Roy and Floyd Hackworth and her sister, Edna Dippel.
Surviving are her husband, John L. Donohue Sr; her children Jimmy (Lorie) Donohue of Bowling Green, KY, Christopher (Katie) Donohue of Belleville, IL, Jacqueline (James) Potter of Clarksville, TN and Elizabeth (Jon) Fischetti of Hendersonville, NC; grandchildren, Jennifer Ray, Kevin Ray, Johnathan Donohue, Jake Donohue, Jessica Potter, James Potter, Brooklyn Potter, Reilly Donohue, and Nolan Donohue; great-grandchildren, Haliey Simpson, Xavier Simpson, Aubrey Fields, Elija Fields, Adrienne Ray, and Rowan Donohue; sisters, Naomi (Thomas) Weaver of Potosi, MO and Sandra (Charles) Sims of Cherokee Village, AR; and her sister-in-law, Donna Hackworth of Bowling Green, KY; and brother-in-law, Donald Dippel of Pensacola, FL; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of wonderful friends.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, September 14 and 10 to 11 am on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Kassly Mortuary, 9900 Saint Clair Ave, Fairview Heights, IL 62208.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL with Fr. Paul Habing officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL
