Fort Worth, Texas - Kathryn Susan Smith passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 3, 2022. She battled with Alzheimer's in her later years, but will be best remembered as a loving mother and wife who was always there for them.
Funeral: 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 19 in Greenwood Chapel.
Susan was born on June 18, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio to George Bruder and Mary Louise Pfisterer. She attended the University of Maryland and later worked for the Social Security Administration. She met her future husband, Judson, in the seventh grade and went on to marry him in 1968. They settled down in Fort Worth in 1976 where her husband started his ophthalmology practice and went on to have three children.
Susan and her husband spent most of their time with their children and their activities. Susan enjoyed antiques, jewelry, estate sales and was a great lover of animals, especially cats. She was the type of person to get a "no questions asked, direct admit" into Heaven.
Susan is survived by her husband of 54 years, Judson Smith III; children, Christine (Derrick) Chisolm, Jud (Nel Johnson) Smith and Greg Smith; grandchildren, Nick and Nate Chisolm. Other extended family members mourning her loss are Kathy (Jim) Redel, Liz (Tom) Munz, Jean Bruder, Robert Smith; and many other cousins and relatives.
