Kathy Lea (Atteberry) Bannon; a sister, wife, mother, grandmother and R.N. passed away on December 16, 2018 at the age of 56 after a battle with metastatic Breast Cancer. Kathy is survived by her husband, George Bannon; daughter, Kelly (Atteberry) Scott; step-daughter, Lauren Bannon; grandson, Avery Scott; brothers Ronald, Mark & Stanley Atteberry; sister, Teri (Atteberry) Smith. She is preceded in death by her father, George Atteberry; mother, Ruth (Gray) Atteberry.
Kathy was born May 25, 1962 to George and Ruth (Gray) Atteberry. She graduated from Nimitz High School in Irving, Texas in May of 1980. On May 29, 1993, she married George Bannon and gained a second daughter, Lauren Bannon.
Kathy was a devoted mother and wife. For 20 plus years she was a caring Home Health nurse, caring for the terminally ill and loved every second of it. She loved to shop, spend time with her daughter, watch football and hockey and loved the color RED.
A memorial service is being held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 2:00pm at Irving Bible Church. Kathy's request was to have red and pink flowers at her service and any donations made to please be made to Susan G. Komen for breast cancer research.
