Kathy Sue Hampton Niemeyer was born February 20, 1962 in Wheatland, Missouri and passed away July 9, 2025 in Modesto, California. She was preceded in death by her parents Dolly Ann Faultner, Billy John Hampton and a sister Billie Welch. She grew up in Missouri and moved to California with her mother and sisters. Kathy graduated from Ceres High School. While working at Niemeyer Farms she met the love of her life John Niemeyer. They were married in Modesto, California on January 24, 1981. Kathy was a devout wife, mother and grandmother. They have one son Nicholaus Niemeyer and three granddaughters Ashlynn, Avery and Alivia. Kathy loved to travel to visit family in Missouri and Idaho. One of her favorite places was Carmel. The family and Big Valley Grace Community Church were very important to her. She loved reading, doing puzzles and learned to do stained glass. Kathy was a kindhearted soul who loved animals and people. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband John Niemeyer of Modesto, her son Nicholaus (Melissa) Niemeyer of Riverbank and granddaughters Ashlynn, Avery and Alivia. Her surviving siblings are Steven (Ronda) Hampton, Garry (Cynde) Hampton, Nancy (Rick) Rowden and Jeannie (Wayne) Welter all of Missouri and a sister Linda (Brian) Snider of Idaho. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews to mourn her loss.

Services will be Monday July 28 at 10:30 am at Salas Brothers Chapel located at 419 Scenic Drive Modesto, CA. 95350. Gravesite service and burial afterwards at Lakewood Memorial Park 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson, CA 95326. Donations in her memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
