Kay Huddleston Obituary

Kay Candler Huddleston, age 71, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2009, at her home. She was a native of Corinth, Miss., and the daughter of Ezekiel Samuel and Mary Ellen Candler, of Corinth, Miss., and Sheffield, Ala. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, of Murfreesboro, and the Murfreesboro Charity Circle. She was a graduate of Sheffield High School and was a stewardess with American Airlines. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ezekiel S. Candler Jr. She is survived by her husband, W. Henry Huddleston III, and her children, William H. (Laurie) Huddleston IV, Ellen H. (Paul) Wilson and Benjamin C. (Susana) Huddleston; and seven grandchildren.

Services for Kay will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at First United Methodist Church, 265 West Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro, TN 37129, with Michael O'Bannon officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, with past directors of Cavalry Banking serving as active pallbearers: Ed C. Loughry, Gary Brown, Tim Durham, Ronnie Knight, Jim Cope, Terry Haynes and Kent Coleman. Honorary pallbearers will be past and present directors of the Christy-Houston Foundation.

Visitation will the family will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2009, at First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund of First United Methodist Church. Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home, 820 S. Church St., Murfreesboro, TN 37130, is directing.
