Keith Edward Ramsey

Nashville, Tennessee - Keith Edward Ramsey, born December 10, 1960, and a longtime resident of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on February 25, 2025, with his body discovered in the doorway of his home. The Medical Examiner has yet to determine the exact cause of death. However, Keith's brother suspects a heart-related episode, possibly tied to Keith's diagnosed tachycardia and ongoing health struggles, which worsened in December 2024.

Keith was a man of intellect, faith, and quiet dignity. He graduated with high honors from Ohio University on June 12, 1982, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English, and later earned a Master of Arts in Religion from Vanderbilt University on May 9, 1997. For nearly 30 years, he was a cherished and faithful member of the Sanctuary Choir at West End United Methodist Church, where his gentle spirit and devotion to music left a lasting legacy. Keith found joy in his studies, his faith, and caring for his beloved dogs-one of whom went blind and passed away, while the other was entrusted to a neighborhood friend when Keith could no longer manage its care.

Keith is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Ramsey, and his brother, Brian Ramsey. His body has been cremated through Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home, selected for its proximity to his cherished church. A memorial service will be held at West End United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., to celebrate Keith's life. His ashes will be interred in the church's columbarium within its cloistered garden-a fitting tribute to his deep ties to the congregation.

The family requests no flowers or donations, preferring a simple gathering to honor his memory. The family offers heartfelt gratitude to the West End community for their prayers and support.
