Kelsey Marie Burton

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kelsey Maire Burton, 19, who was called home to the Lord on July 14, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. On July 1, 2006, Kelsey entered the world alongside her twin and loving brother, Preston. She arrived vibrant and full of compassion, leaving a lasting impression on the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Her heart of gold was matched by her unwavering determination and remarkable strength of character, always standing firm in her convictions. Kelsey's love for animals was profound, reflecting her gentle soul and deep appreciation for all of God's creatures. She found true joy and comfort in their presence, and they, in turn, were drawn to her kindness and gentle nature. Her happiness shone brightest in open fields, under the sunlight, and through the laughter she so freely shared - a melody capable of lifting every heart.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in the knowledge that she rests peacefully in the loving arms of our Savior.

Kelsey is survived by her loving parents, mother Cassie Kofoid, and father, Gary (Amber) Burton, as well as her siblings Preston Burton, Harlie Burton, Josslynn Kofoid, and Hazel Burton. She is also remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. From Wyoming to Texas, all who knew her will forever cherish her memory in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparent, Brantley Burton, and her paternal great-grandparents, David and Marilyn Burton. Her maternal grandparents, Patricia and Charles Gorda.

Although her time with us was all too short, the memories she leaves behind are eternal. Her legacy of nurturing care, strength, and joy will live on in the hearts of everyone who loved her.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, and for the responding officers and emergency personnel in Stephenville, Texas for their extraordinary care and compassion.

Her father, Gary Burton, invites all who wish to show their support for Kelsey and her family to join us in Casper, WY on August 23rd, at the Sky Terrace, located inside the Natrona County International Airport at 2:00p.m., where we will gather to remember Kelsey and reflect on the eternal hope we have in Christ.
