Ken Latos

"Ken" Kenneth Latos
Ken was born on April 14th, 1945 at Cudworth, SK to Elizabeth and John Latos and passed away July 16th, 2013 at Stensrud Lodge, Saskatoon, SK. He was raised by Elizabeth and Louis Sloboda Sr. of Wakaw. He was fortunate to have two families that loved him, and he had so much love for all of them. His second love was writing. He was working on publishing his book, but had many setbacks. Because of his illness he never got to finish it. Ken had a long 15 year, hard fought battle with cancer, yet He never complained. He led a quiet life and enjoyed his solitude. He made some wonderful friendships while working for Canada Post. He enjoyed family get togethers and looked forward to the home cooked meals. A special thank you to all the Home Care Nurses who faithfully tended to Ken's needs, and to the Doctors and Staff of Palliative Care at St. Paul's Hospital. Thank you to Stensrud Lodge for welcoming Ken into their home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul's Hospital Foundation, Palliative Care Fund, 1702 - 20th Street West
Saskatoon, SK S7M 0Z9. The Memorial Service will be held on Friday August 9th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., at Mayfair United Church, 902 33 St. W., Saskatoon, SK with Rev. Deb Walker officiating.
