Kenji Yamashita Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 13, 2014.
A loving husband, devoted father, adorable brother-in-law and father-in-law.

Remember me in quiet days, while
raindrops whisper on your pane.
But in your memories have no grief, let
the joy we knew remain.
Remember me when evening stars,
look down on you with steadfast eyes.
Remember me if once you wake, to
catch a glimpse of red sunrise.
And when your thoughts do turn to me,
know that I would not have you cry, But live for me, and laugh for me,
when you are happy so am I. Remember an old joke we shared,
remember me when Spring walks by, Think once of me when you are glad,
and while you live I shall not die.

God will definitely show you the way to smiling again. I know this experience will change you forever. Just remember all the good times you shared with Kenji Sr. and all the love he gave you throughout the years. He is not gone. He will live in your heart forever.

When I come to the end of my journey, and I travel my last weary mile,
Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned, and remember only the smile.
Forget unkind words I have spoken; Remember some good I have done,
Forget that I ever had heartache, and remember I've had loads of fun.
Forget that I've stumbled and blundered, and sometimes fell by the way.
Remember I have fought some hard battles, and won, ere the close of the day.
Then forget to grieve for my going, I would not have you sad for a day.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Uncle Kenji was a gentle soul with a sweet smile. And a laugh that let you know all was right in the world. Now rest in the arms of your Creator and let Him give you joy. The Heavenly Father awaits....

Dad, our sadness knows no end;
We can't believe you're gone;
We're grieving for you,
It's hard to carry on.
You were always there to support and care,
When we needed a true friend,
How we'll ever do without our dad,
We cannot comprehend.
You were our teacher and our guide,
Our dad, so good and strong;
Your example will stay with us now,
& last our whole lives long.
We're trying to communicate;
We hope that you can hear;
Expressing what we feel for you,
Helps us feel you're near.
Our memories of the times we had
Help the pain to go away.
But Dad, our lives won't be the same;
We'll miss you every day.
A part of us went with you;
You left a gap too big to fill;
You're our father and our hero;
We love you and we always will.
Love always David & Patty Rest in peace now. Xoxo
