Kenneth Barton

Kenneth Barton, of Muskogee, was born in Warner, Oklahoma September 5, 1933 and died June 1, 2008 at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa, OK of congestive heart failure. He served his country in the Air Force and the Marine Corps. He married Nancy Allaback in 1986 in Wagoner.Survivors include his wife, Nancy Barton of 23 years; Ken Barton, Jr. of Muskogee, OK; Cathy Parker of Grenada, MS.; Mike Barton of Oklahoma City, OK.; Tommy Barton of Oklahoma City, OK.; Karren Barton of Ft. Smith, AR.; 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Howard Barton of Muskogee; 1 sister, Carol Ake of Kansas City, MO.; and many nieces and nephews and other family members. Proceeded in death by his mother and father, 2 brothers and 1 sister. He attended church at York Street Christian Church. He enjoyed traveling and sight seeing, gardening and working outside.Services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Lescher Millsap Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Gene Thompson officiating. Burial will be in McLain Cemetery.
