Kenneth BROWN Obituary

Published by Edmonton Journal from Mar. 20 to Mar. 21, 2015.
BROWN, Kenneth James
August 20, 1941 – March 15, 2015
A kind, modest and caring man has left this world and will be deeply missed.
He was a loving, devoted and inspiring husband, father and grandfather. Ken leaves to celebrate his life his adoring wife, Doreen; children: Geoffrey (Jylene), and Nicole Pearse (Jodi); grandchildren: Nolan, Jordynn and Sophia as well as his friends and extended family including those in his practice of law.
Ken was a man of few words but one to be counted on. He was content in the outdoors and enjoyed the mountains and his remote cabin where he spent 40 years walking, hiking, reading and doing all things involving
family and friends.
In keeping with his wishes a memorial service will not be held.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, AB. T6G-1Z2

Doreen, I just heard about your loss. I am sorry to hear that Ken is gone. While I was a young associate at the old shop (Cormie Kennedy), I could always look to Ken to give me solid and balanced advice not only on legal matters but on life in general. What a great attitude he had. One of the good guys is gone. What an asset he will be in heaven. Mark Olivieri

Whenever I saw Ken, he would immediately regale me with humourous stories of his grandchildren and children, and wonderful travels with his wife. He would grab family pictures off his desk and proudly show the latest ones... then he'd listen very closely and parse out sage advice. He was a kind and generous man, and I will miss his sharp wit and laughter. My sincere condolences to all.
