He resigned from service in 1969, and was employed by Fort Pickett for many years until he transferred to Camp Lejune, N.C., where he worked until his retirement. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday October 2, 2010, at 2 p.m. in the Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery, 3311 South Hill Road, Kenbridge, Va. 23944. I am so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed working with Dwight at Fort Pickett. He was a pleasure to be around and kept you smiling. He also shared his skills of the trade, and I always thought of him when I wrapped teflon on pipe threads, like he showed me. May God bless you all at this difficult time.
