Raymond
Kenneth Duane Evans, 82, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Chadwick Nursing Home in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 9am until the 11am funeral service all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Vicksburg.
Ken was longtime resident of Raymond. He graduated from Hinds Community College and went to work for IC Railroad as an electrician until he retired in 1986. He was a past Worshipful Master of The Forest Hill Masonic Lodge No 613. He was an avid deer hunter and member of Raymond Road Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Cleo Evans; brother Van Evans; and sister Cleo Harrison.
He is survived by is sons, David Evans of Raymond and Keith Evans of Baton Rouge, LA; daughter, Melanie (Korey) Wales of Baton Rouge, LA; brothers, James W. (Connie) Evans, Jr. of CA, Max Evans of Vicksburg, Leroy (Sue) Evans of Raymond and Raymond (Wandra) Evans of Vicksburg; and 5 grandchildren.
