Kenneth Fox Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 15, 2025.
Bend - With heavy hearts, we share that Ken Fox passed away on June 3, 2025.

Born in Eugene, OR, in 1963 to Jerry and Verna Rae Fox, Ken grew up in Medford, OR where he developed a love for baseball. He attended Arizona State University, played for the Sun Devils, and was drafted by the Montreal Expos in the 6th round of the 1985 MLB draft.

Throughout his successful contracting career, Ken worked for Halliburton, KBR, DynCorp Intl and as Senior Vice President at Amentum, overseeing U.S. State Department contracts and earning the respect of all who worked with him through his ability to make others feel valued. Outside of work, Ken loved traveling, cheering on the Oregon Ducks football team with his family. He was a donor for the Oregon Duck Athletic Fund for many years.

Ken is survived by his partner, Heidi Albertson; his father, Jerry Fox; his sister, Kari Tinker; his nephew and niece, Scott and Darby Tinker; and Heidi's son, Mitch Albertson. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, July 8th at 3:00pm in the Club Room at Autzen Stadium, 2727 Leo Harris Parkway, Eugene, OR 97401

I was truly blessed to work for and with Ken in Afghanistan and Iraq from 2017 to 2024. He was simply the finest civilian boss I´ve ever had, easily matching my best CO´s in every respect. Focused, goal-oriented, compassionate, protective of his team, and a role model each and every day, he will be sorely missed, and his example will be celebrated eternally.

Fair winds and following seas, Ken.

I worked closely with Ken in the 2000's with KBR in the H-Sites. He was not only a good boss, but a good man. We are a lesser world without him in it.
