It been a year since you left us. I know you are in a better place, with Mom and Dad and all our relatives. I'm sure you are with my son your nephew Michael. Please tell him I love and miss him. I miss and love you also, it's. Been a hard year for for all of us still here. Please save a place fot me. We will all be together when it's our time.

With a heavy heart I just now learned of my good friend Ken's passing.
I first meet Ken in 1979 when we both moved to Mesa, Arizona and lived in the same apartment complex...we became fast friends and ended up living together with a third friend on Mill avenue for the next thee years in Tempe...
Our lives went in different directions as I moved around the country for work several times...When I was married in 1989.Ken and his girlfriend at the time meet us is Colorado to help celebrate our honeymoon...I got to know his Mom and Dad and was even welcomed into their home in Crown Point and was treated like family by them.
I lost track of Ken for several years and feared the worst, but about 10 years ago Ken resurfaced and contacted me with a phone call and filled me in on all his life's struggles I was unaware of...through it all Ken always retained his sharp wit and intelligence that many people I'm afraid never appreciated or got to know...
Every year we would exchange phone calls on May 1st (my birthday) and December 28th,his...when he would answer the phone the first thing I would always say to him was...(It must suck to have your birthday between Christmas and New Years!) We always got a hearty laugh over this...We would talk for hours like we never were apart...
This past December 28th I was not able to reach him by phone and again feared the worst but after several try's and a few weeks I finally got him to answer the phone, he did not sound well but I hoped for the best....When My Birthday came along May 1st and did not hear from him again,I have been searching for an answer...I have left several messages on his phone in the hopes someone might get the message and let me know if he was alright...Sadly I googled his name tonight and found his obituary...
Brother Bob and Sister probably don't remember me, but I do remember them.
I am not the type of person that would normally take the time to write such a extensive message about someone, but to me Ken was not just someone...he was a true friend that will be missed I wish I knew of his passing sooner as I would have liked to pay my last respects to him in person....
This letter will have to do...Ken you were a good friend and I hope you have found peace.

I will miss our talks. You always made me feel calm, and tried to make me smile and laugh. You were there for me when I needed you. You were a great brother. I know you are happy in heaven, visiting with
Mom and Dad, with Michael and all our family in heaven. We will be together again when it's my time to go home. I love you Ken.

Ken was so knowledgeable in so many subjects. It was so interesting to talk with him. I was so happy my sister Helen had him to care for her. He´s now in Heaven with his grandparents, father, mother, uncle John and his nephew Micheal. Love you, Ken. Aunt Carol
