(Cedar Springs) Kenneth B. Heaton, age 67, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on January 2, 2007. As a young man he served his country in the Army. Ken worked as a Construction-Surveyor for M-DOT for 39 years. He is survived by his loving wife and girlfriend, Deb; children, Rodney and Jessica Heaton and Randy Heaton; one grandson, Lucas; lifelong friends, Larry and Ellen Swift; his next best friend, Roxie his dog; sisters, Dolores and Keith Williams of Greenville, and Dawn and Rick Thorndill; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim and Becky Kendall, Marti Hyzer, Jim and Kelly Allan, Steve and Joy Klink, Linda VanderVlugt, Rachel Klink, Merle and Jeanne Perrine, Joel and Vicki Tasman, Jim and Lois Borreson, Pat and Carol Patterson, and Dave and June Klink; oodles of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. The service for Ken will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at North Kent Bible Church with Pastor Michael Cisler, Pastor Jim Kendall, and Pastor Steve Klink officiating. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Pheasants Forever or North Kent Bible Church. Friends may meet with Ken's family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. The Pederson Funeral Home, Rockford www.pedersonfuneralhome.com

Dear Deb, Rod, Randy, and other family members.
