Kenneth Herron Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 20, 2013.
Kenneth H. Herron 1968 - 2013
Kenny Herron, loving and loyal son, our mischievous brother and master of hugs, found his peace on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Kenny was born July 11, 1968 in Boulder, CO. He brought love and laughter to any occasion, sharing his unique brand of humor with all. He was an extraordinarily kind and compassionate friend, always a consummate peacemaker. As a young teenager, Kenny begged for a guitar, which proved to be a wise investment. He took his natural musical talent to his first band Triad (including brother Nate) and later on the road with bands Vital Addictions and Wolfgang. He was a charismatic presence on stage, ever the rock and roll showman. He later graduated from the University of Utah, spending many years in Salt Lake and Park City as a hospitality industry salesman. However, Kenny's true love and passion was on the water, fly rod in hand, hooking the brownies. His remarkable patience made him an exceptional river guide and teacher. Kenny had deep love and respect for his parents, sisters and brothers. We wish to share the following words sent from a family friend:
"Ken was beautiful. He (and you) taught me to fish. He would row all day, point out all the fish, laugh, laugh some more, and then thank you for a good day at the end. He had sparkling eyes, was always glad to see you, gave killer hugs, and would give you the shirt off his back. He loved brownies. He loved his family. He loved the River, and all three loved him back. I loved to watch him tie flies, strum his guitar, light up a smoke, or untangle my line. He had magic fingers, and infectious humor and a deep capacity for friendship and caring. He LOVED his brothers, loved his friends, and would stand shoulder to shoulder with them anytime anywhere."
That was our Kenny in a nutshell. He loved being "Uncle Honey" to his nephews and nieces, always supportive of their endeavors, especially to take them for a float down the Green. Kenny is survived by his parents Lynn and Elaine Herron, siblings Dave (Beth), Steve (Natalie), Julie (Kemla), Jennifer, and Nate; Nephews Austin, Jackson, Sage, River, Kai and nieces Taegan, Alicia, and Andrea. Special thanks to friends Jeff, Matt and Dusty. Please join us for a celebration of Ken's life Friday, March 22 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Park City Community Church 4501 N. Highway 224, Park City, UT. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Utah Stream Access Coalition (USAC).
Condolences can be sent to the family at www.premierfuneral.com.

Imagine a place where your dry fly doesn't sink, where the wind never gets too strong, where your waders don't leak and where the big ones always take when you have done it ALL right. That is where Kenny is right now. Why do the “special ones” suffer, and why do we miss them so much?
We are truly sorry for your loss.

Kenny was one of the coolest guys i ever met . when i was a young guy working in rock clubs. this long haired person was sitting. back toward the door. i walked in and said pardon me mamm. i need to get through here. affter that it was a running joke .every time i seen him it was many years later. i seen him at our friend parrish's wake. an he walked up to me and rememberd me. thats the guy he was. i will always rember that. i am so sorry for his famliys loss. i know he would say that at least the fish are safe. R.I.P. my friend.

It was nice of you to call. I appreciate it. I am sorry for our loss. I know we will all miss his smiling face. When reading his obituary I was struck with how honest he had to have been for everyone to unilaterally recognize his great qualities. If someone would have just read it to me and asked who I thought it referred to I would have said, Kenny. I am glad to have been a small part of his life even for a short time. Please know I will keep the Herron family in my prayers.May the good Lord be with you during this hard time. John Dickerson.
