Phyliss A. Beck

Phyliss A. Beck, 76, fell asleep in death on February 3, 2013, at Emeritus at Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne on November 28, 1936, Phyliss was an active member of the Fort Wayne Maplecrest Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 40 years, since her date of baptism, November 27, 1971. She was the daughter of Russell and Geneva VanCamp, and the baby sister of Janice Osmundsen (Robert), Gloria Asbell and Max VanCamp (Carol), of whom all siblings and parents have preceded her in death. She graduated from North Side High School in 1955. She married Glenn H. Beck on January 7, 1966, who also preceded her in death in 2002. Glenn and Phyliss shared 36 years of marriage, including 20 years together in Fort Wayne and 16 years together in Sunrise, Florida. She is survived by her children Teresa Beck and Kimberly Santos (Joseph), both of Fort Wayne, Curtiss Beck (Mayra) of Coconut Creek, FL and six grandsons, Austin, Coltin and Braytin Gebhart and Roman Santos, all of Fort Wayne, Taylor Beck of North Carolina and Phillip Beck of Coconut Creek, Florida. Funeral service is 1:30 pm, Thursday, February 7, 2013 at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with calling an hour prior. Gary Baird officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to the Fort Wayne Kingdom Hall Building Fund or the Alzheimer's Association.
