Kenneth McCaffrey February 20, 1946 - March 12, 2017 Kenneth P. McCaffrey (Captain), 71 of Chilliwack, British Columbia passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack B.C. on March 12, 2017 after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Born to Kenneth & Irene McCaffrey in Vancouver, B.C. He was the third oldest of seven siblings.

At the age of 16, Ken began his career in the Towboat industry as a Deckhand for Point Grey Towing. He worked to obtain his 'Master' Ticket with Swiftsure Towing, where he eventually Captained the 'Arctic Hooper'. Ken spent 47 years on the water before retiring in 2010 from Hodder Towing to become a Snowbird.

He is survived by his wife Leslie of 51 years, son John, and daughter Kim (Frank). Grandchildren Lonny, Kyra, Kelsi, & Frankie. His Brother Tom (Kimberly), and sister Peg (John).

Ken was predeceased by his parents, brothers Jack, Mick, Arch, and granddaughter Frankie Ellen.

At Ken's request, there will be no Service. Please send donations (In lieu of flowers) to Chilliwack Cascade Hospice or Vancouver Children's Hospital.

Dad, It's very difficult to find words to say how much you will be missed. You were always a happy person no matter what challenge seldom came up. You chose to look at the brighter things in life, even in your last weeks. Every picture, and memory we have, you always had a smile! I love you, I will always miss you.
