Kenneth MYERS Obituary
1956 – 2018
On March 15, 2018, Kenneth Leslie Myers passed away at the age of 62 years.
Ken is survived by his two sons, Steven and Evan; brother, Don; sisters, Shari (Ken) McCoy, Valerie Nathanson and Barbara Hauk (Calgary); along with nine nieces and nephews and their families. Ken was predeceased by his parents, Les and Delcy Myers.
The world has lost a man whose greatest source of joy was found in music and making people smile. Always ready with a quick comeback, a timely joke, or a story that could make a roomful of people roar with laughter, Ken will be sorely missed.
A Memorial Service for Ken will be held on Thursday, March 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. If desired, monetary donations may be made in his name to The Edmonton Kiwanis Music Festival, 14205 – 109 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5N 1H5.

I never saw Ken in a bad mood. He was always cheerful and optimistic, and he never failed to make me laugh, often until my jaw hurt. Thanks Ken.

Just cannot believe that I am writing this for my friend. Ken you were a legend to me and will be so missed. I will always remember you and you will forever be in my photo albums smiling away with me in the crew bar exchanging wild stories. Just cannot believe it. Goodbye my friend : (

Though I was 2,000 miles away, I watched Park Memorial on Google Streetview and lit a special candle during your memorial. So I was there in spirit, Ken.

Thank you, Ken, for thinking that I was a special person at a time when I did not see myself in that way. I'm sure I'm not the only one you dod that for. I wish I could have helped more. I can still see us watching July 1 fireworks over the High Level bridge. Thoush you'd seen better on your travels, you hadn't lost that awe. And thank you for making me laugh when I thought there was no reason to laugh anymore. You noticed things like that about people.
