Kenneth Powell Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 7, 2025.
Round Rock - Kenneth Wayne Powell, 81, of Round Rock, Texas, an avid hunter, fisherman, and family man, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, on March 6, 2025.

Born on April 2 in Austin, TX to Hudson & Alma Powell, Kenny grew up in a family that instilled in him a love for the great outdoors. Whether he was casting a line into his favorite lake or hunting with his family or friends, they weren't just hobbies for him; they were a way of life.

He often spoke about how the greatest joy in his life came from spending time with his loved ones, especially at Christmas. An avid fan of the Texas Longhorns he never missed a game, donning his burnt orange from the comfort of his home. His zest for life, love for the outdoors, and his faith will forever be in our memories.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Mindy, his children Laura Patek (Doug), Brad Powell (Amanda), Paige Reiling, & Cody Powell, 10 grandchildren, 2 sisters, 1 brother, and his 2 dogs. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Corry Reiling,

A memorial service will be held on April 2, with the visitation at 12:00 and the service at 1:00, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Pflugerville, TX. We ask that friends and family honor Kenny, and his love for the Texas Longhorns, by wearing spirit gear to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Comforts of Home Healthcare Luminous Hearts Foundation of Cedar Park, Texas.
