Funeral services will be on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland. Kenneth was born December 21, 1942 to Carl Ridgeway and Martha Kincheloe in Priddy, TX. Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle. Kenneth married the love of his life Cuba Armstrong on April 13, 1963 in Priddy, TX. He was in the US Navy and was stationed in San Diego, California before he boarded a ship and traveled to the Philippines working as a machinist on board the USS Ticonderoga CV A-14. After serving his time in the Navy, Kenneth followed this career and moved to Midland in 1969 where he worked for Drilco and later worked for Mark Huggins Pump Unit Service for a number of years until he worked with his brother at Ridegway Machine Shop. He enjoyed playing dominos, shuffle board and his oldies on his radio. He loved riding motorcycles, spending time with family and friends, telling jokes, and most of all sitting outside with his wife watching the squirrels, turtles, and doves that he fed. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cuba Ridgeway; one son, Tim and wife, Kelly Ridgeway; one daughter, Tamara Ridgeway; six grandchildren, Bradly Ridgeway, Treyce Gray, Tara Gray, Braxton Ridgeway, Cody Ridenour (Kelsey), and Kayla Butler (Sam) all of Midland; ten great grandchildren, Aryanna Lackey, Jayden Lackey, Janiah Fennell, Chastidy Gray, Cayden Van Meter, Jaylon Van Meter, Hayden Butler, Kenslea Butler, Kolton Ridenour, and Cami Ridenour all of Midland; brother, Paul Ridgeway (Geneva) of Midland; numerous nieces, nephews, and his four legged companion, Precious. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Ridgeway and Martha Kincheloe; two sisters, Mary Embrey and Bonnie Haile; and one grandson, Timothy Gray. Ken was a great neighbor, he would give us fresh vegetables out if his garden, make bread and bring it over. He even cut our grass when we were moving in. He had great parties in the summer and would invite the whole neighborhood over. He cooked some mean brisket too! He introduced us to the Rankin Chile Cook off. He was a great man and will be missed by many. RIP Ken.
