STEIN, Kenneth Henry
December 9, 1924 – February 4, 2015
Ken passed away peacefully in Palliative Care at Surrey Memorial Hospital. Left to mourn his passing is his beloved wife Lois of 70 years; daughters Penny (Terry), Holly (Wayne); grandsons Dave, Mike (Michelle), Matt (Andrea), Eric (Katy); great-grandchildren Jennifer, Robert, Mason, Maya, Max, Briggs; brother-in-law Bill (Lois); several nieces and nephews and their families. Ken was predeceased by his parents Henry and Margrethe; sisters Thelma, Alice; brother Cece (Kate); son-in-law Don. Ken was a WWII Veteran, serving Canada as a Flying Officer for the RCAF stationed in England. His career was with Dueck GM, beginning with moving vehicles on the car lot and working his way to President and Chairman of the Board for Dueck GM. Ken was an avid sportsman, playing/coaching men's fastball and golfing. Ken was also a CFL official for many years, participating in several Grey Cup Games, and was a statistician for the NHL during Canucks Games in Vancouver. Always remembered and forever missed! No flowers or service by request! Donations for consideration to B.C. Cancer Agency or a charity of your choice.
