SALEM- Mr. Kenneth W. Theriault 74, of Salem, beloved husband of Joanne E. (Pizzello) Theriault, died unexpectedly August 24th, 2014 at Salem Hospital. Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Moise and Stacia (Falkowski) Theriault. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School. An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Army. At the age of nineteen, Mr. Theriault began a career with the Essex County Registry of Deeds in Salem. He worked for over 45 years and rose to be the Chief Recorder of Deeds with the registry until the time of his retirement in 2002. If you needed a deed, he was your man. Through his expertise and assistance of so many people over the years at the registry, Ken was regarded as the face of the department. He was dedicated, professional, precise and courteous and was always willing to help all in his charge. Through the years, he was a member of the former Crow Two Club, the Christopher Columbus Society and the Polish Legion of American Veterans "P.L.A.V." Post 55 all of Salem. He had a passion for movies especially those of the Western genre and enjoyed watching Football. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who dedicated his time to supporting his grandchildren in all of their endeavors. He attended all of their events and life milestones and will be deeply missed. In addition to his loving wife of 53 years, he is survived by his son Paul K. Theriault and his wife Kelly of Danvers, his daughters, Pamela J. Steward and her husband James of Beverly and Donna Mancinelli and her husband Mark of Peabody, his eight grandchildren, Shannon and Nicole Theriault, Shauna, Samantha and Sienna Mancinelli and Taylor, Brooke and Ethan Steward, his brother Daniel Theriault and his wife Elaine of Ipswich and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Jaqline Hahnen and brother-in-law of the late Joseph Hahnen. ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral services are private. Assisting the family with the arrangements is The O'Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq., (At Salem Common) Salem. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Ken's memory to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., Boston, MA 02210.
