Kenneth Woo Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 4, 2018.
Kenneth "Kenny" Woo
Beloved Husband, Father, Bro & Homie

Kenneth "Kenny" Woo was born October 7th, 1962 at the Chinatown French Hospital in Los Angeles to parents Paul and Kam Bo Woo. As kids, he and his older brother, Jeff, bonded by getting into mischief together and naturally became best friends for life. After growing up in Chinatown & Lincoln Heights, Kenny graduated from Cal State LA in 1986. He ran and operated the Luna Park Motel in the 1990's in Lincoln Heights before moving to Alhambra.
Kenny was a true LA native and lived in Los Angeles his whole life. Some of his favorite foods included Philippe's Sandwiches doubled dip and In N Out, of course. Although a fan of many sports, Kenny was a huge Dodgers fan and was best known for always sporting a Dodgers tee. He was also a big Raiders fan, so in the winter he would wear his big Raider jacket over the Dodgers tee.
One of his favorite hobbies included deep sea fishing and once he even caught the largest dorado of the season. You could often find him in the hood playing cards with his homies while talking smack and joking around. He was an avid enthusiast of lowriders and even owned several himself, Chevy's only. A successful accountant at various jobs, he was also a proud member of the United Teachers of Los Angeles.
Kenny's happiest moments included his marriage to wife, Bella, and the birth of his son, Jordan Kenneth Woo, in 2014. They brought so much joy and happiness to his life and he always made sure to put his family first. He was a kind, loving father and husband, and it was obvious that Jordan and Bella were his greatest gifts in life. In Jordan is a miniature version of Kenny, he looks exactly as his father did when he was younger and has already started to inherit a love for cars as well.
One of Kenny's special talents was the way he made everyone around him immediately take a liking to him. It might have been his easygoing attitude, his contagious smile, or his ability to make conversation with anyone, but he never failed to make a person smile back. Anyone who has met Kenny can attest to the fact that he enjoyed dry humor, liked to tell it like it is and often had a penchant for foul language, but he always let his compassion and friendly attitude shine through. He will forever be remembered by his sarcasm and playful jokes, his many Dodger tees, and most of all, his kind spirit and never-ending generosity.
