Kent was perhaps my best friend between the ages of 8 and 10. I spent a week each summer at the McKusick camp on Davis Pond swimming and boating and sleeping in the bunkhouse. Several decades later we met up again when he moved to Laconia, NH. Kent was ver specia - a talented actor on stage, a wonderful minister, and a great friend to all.

I met Kent at Ferry Beach while I volunteered one summer. Great guy, always smiling and ready to laugh. I feel like something will seem to be missing the next time I go.

Our deepest condolences to James and the rest of Kent´s family. I have good memories of his warm greetings at Ferry Beach during GAYLA. May he rest in eternal peace!

I will always remember the wonderful memorial service he put together for my husband after being in Ames a year & only meeting my husband once. He sat at our table with 10 relatives & got each of them to talk about him. Then he brought all those memories together in an amazing eulogy! He was a gifted minister & kind person! I miss him!
