Kerri left this world on Tuesday September 20, 2022 to be met by many family members and friends that had gone before her. She worked for almost 13 years at Animal Hospital of Rowlett as an animal groomer, mostly dogs. She was amazing at what she did. She could groom as many as 25-30 dogs a day. She was loved by many friends and family and clients that would not take their dogs anywhere else to be groomed. I know they will all miss her. She was born to Virgil Rush and Joy (Rush) Baxter on November 10, 1967. She was a beautiful baby with curly black hair and her big brother Rodney adored her until she got big enough to get into his things but really he still loved her dearly. She had recently gotten a jeep that she loved to drive and she even climbed rocks in it. The jeep drivers had a kind of game they played where they left rubber ducks on any jeep they saw. I'm not sure how many she got but she enjoyed going to jeep rallys. She loved her kids dearly and would fight for anything she thought would help them. She leaves behind her sons, Taylon Gardner and Xander Moody and her granddaughter that she legally adopted, Kenlee Gardner. Also grandchildren, Akcire Hernandez, Braylon and Parker Gardner, her mother Joy Baxter, her dad Virgil Rush and her brother Rodney Rush. She is also survived by her boyfriend Fred (Bear) McVeys. She will be missed by everyone that knew and loved her and we are believing she is in the arms of Jesus and that we will see her again someday.

Though we split up 21 years ago... we remained friends without animosity. Kerri had a heart of gold and cared so much for those around her. A free spirit she was. During our 12 years together, we shared many memories. We had one son -- Taylon Gardner. We had multiple pets as she would give homeless pets a home in a heartbeat. Our dogs -- Toby..Shadow..Bo..Sandy..Charlie we loved by her as was our baby blue and gold macaw ..TJ. Kerri was an excellant dog groomer and gave her life to the wonderful world of making dogs as pretty as they could be. Kerri so much loved her son --Taylon and her adpoted granddaughter --Kenlee... God took you away too early but apparently he had a plan for you. You will be missed by many and loved by many...may God hold you close as look down upon your family....especially your sons and grandchildren... God Bless...
