A true warrior of the light fell, and people around the nation....no, people all over the world wept as she was such a profound person. As such, she, and what she stood for will never be forgotten. Her light blessed us while she lived, and upon her passing, became a healing beacon which has brought communities together. We all were scarred that day, and as such, we will never forget her or her sacrifice. Her legacy of peace, justice, and hope, will live on. May she rest well in the light of heaven. May blessings follow all of her family for all of their days. Kerrie, you have earned your rest. We will continue to hold the blue line, and will always have you in our hearts..

To the Family of Kerrie..May our God bring each and every one of you comfort, and bring you peace. I am so sorry for such a loss. It is so hard to comprehend. I have an extended family that lives in Omaha, and I get to see them quite often! I have always had a sense of peace and comfort within the city not only because of the dedication that Kerrie contributed to the community, and the countless other counterparts that believe in the same thing, and share the same values. Kerrie, Thank-You for your service to the Omaha Community, and for a job well done. May you rest now in peace!

"If it is true that when the curtain goes up on eternity all must approach the gates bearing in their arms that which they have given to life, she will march in the procession carrying in her arms the pure pearl of tears, the gold of laughter, and the diamonds of stardust she has spilled on what otherwise might have been a rather dreary world."
