Kerry Gatti Goodson

A memorial service for Kerry Gatti Goodson, 47, of Tyler will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sylvester Curry officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from noon to 1 p.m.
Ms. Goodson passed away March 3, 2014, at ETMC hospital in Tyler. She was born Oct. 10, 1966, in Tyler to Dr. Robert R. and Bobbye Joe Finley Gatti.
Kerry was a lifetime resident of Tyler. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and from TJC as a registered nurse. Kerry worked various nursing positions throughout the years. She enjoyed reading and was a very devout Christian. She had a very giving heart. Kerry would help anyone in need and she especially had a heart as an animal lover. She could never turn down bringing home a stray.
Kerry was preceded in death by her mother, Bobbye Joe Gatti; and her brother Max Gatti. She is survived by her loving family including her children, Kelsey Goodson, Savannah Goodson, both of Tyler, and Justin Goodson, of Jackson, Tenn.; father, Dr. Robert R. Gatti and wife Della, of Hideaway; siblings, Barbara Jackson, of Tyler, and Beverly West, of Keller; boyfriend, Matt Gardner, of Tyler; ex-husband, Jim Goodson, of Tyler; and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her dog, Chip.
Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Goodson, John Jackson, Eric Gatti, Ben West, Alex Moore and Jerry Harris.
