Kerry Vaughn

Kerry Danise Vaughn, born on January 17, 1974, in Anderson, South Carolina, passed away on May 4, 2025, in Columbia, South Carolina.

A proud graduate of Belton-Honea Path High School (BHP), Class of 1992, Kerry carried the spirit of her hometown with her throughout her life. Her roots in Anderson and her deep Christian faith shaped the person she became-someone who found strength and guidance through daily readings of the Bible, a practice she shared with her beloved father.

Kerry was the cherished daughter of Karen Vaughn and the late Danny Vaughn. She was a proud mother to Bailey Austin and Natalie Gosnell, and a loving mother-in-law to Troy Austin. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her grandsons, Matthew and William Austin, who brought light into her life just as she brought light into theirs.

She shared a close bond with her sister Kristal Cross and brother-in-law David Cross. Kerry was also a beloved aunt to Austyn Cross and Nathan Cross. Her family remembers her not only for the love she gave but for the joy she brought into every room. Whether it was through laughter or simply being present during difficult times, Kerry had a gift for bringing light into any situation.

Her family will forever hold dear the fun memories they created together-moments filled with laughter, warmth, and love. Kerry knew how to have fun and made sure those around her did too. Her presence was a source of comfort and joy that will be deeply missed.

Though she has departed this world, Kerry's memory lives on in those who loved her most. May her legacy continue to shine brightly in their hearts.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on May 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Asaville Baptist Church 201 Asaville Church Rd. The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 7th at 10am. Preacher DeWayne Evans will be conducting the ceremony.
