1972 - 2014
At last released, March 8, 2014. Devoted husband to Jennifer Mills. Hero and Dad to Robin (15), Cameron (13), Jackson (12) and Caitlin (8). Cherished son of Veronica and the late Ronald Batty. Beloved brother of Alison (Martin) and Graham (Chantal). Kevin prized his family above all else. Kev, Cancer Warrior, now Guardian Angel. Immense thanks to our "village" for the years of boundless love and support. The service will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2014, 11 a.m. at St. John Fisher Parish, 120 Summerhill, Pointe Claire. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the West Island Palliative Care Residence would be appreciated (www.wipcr.ca).

I am so utterly stunned and saddened to read this awful news (in Loyola Today). I was a few years ahead of Kevin, but we knew each other well enough at school and in Pointe-Claire. He was always such a steady, thoughtful and kind young man. Although we eventually lost touch, I thought of him many times over the years - as recently as a couple of weeks back, in fact - and would always remember just what a great guy he was. My sincerest and deepest condolences to all his family and loved ones, especially his wife and children. A special note of condolence to his mother (Veronica), whom my mother and I also knew through Loyola. I am truly so sorry for your loss.

We graduated the same year and though we were not best friends or anything...in TYPICAL Loyola fashion... we all came together in that last Graduation Year. We are a family.
