I went through all of grade school with Kevin in Margaretville, but lost touch after he moved to Delhi (sometime during our middle-school years as I recall). Reading the testimonials here, I can see he became the man I would have expected. I so regret not keeping in touch with him. My deepest and sincerest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and loved ones.

Jake, Your dad and I grew up together at Delaware Academy. We played football together in junior high and tennis in high school. We had some great camping trips with Kenny Bender, Tom Humphries, Bruce McKeegan and others. There was a group of kids at DA that hung out together and we have been life long friends. All of us loved to play cards and we spend many a cold Delhi night in your grandfather's basement dealing out the cards. I will miss your dad and have fond memories of him driving around in his old truck, which he started with a screw-driver or his little blue VW, which we once fit 11 or 13 people in and drove the car. I am sorry I am not at his funeral today, but I could not get away from work. He is in my prayers, as are you. Continue to study and make your dad proud and know he is watching over you.

Dear Jake, Your Dad was a dear friend, he lit up the room, and always had a smile. He took life by the smooth handle. He taught others how to deal with the complexities we experience on a day to day bases, knowing him was God's gift to us all. Our prayers are with you and your family.

I will miss Kevin very much. I worked with him for almost 2 years and he has taught me so much. I use to laugh when went for lunch because Kevin had to have tobascco sauce on everything he ate. When ever we needed a listening ear we were there for each other, even after I left the work place we still kept in touch. I love you Kevin and you will never be forgotten. And the love you had for your son was amazing. My heart is with you Jacob.

Jake my heart goes out to you . It was just a couple of years ago that Ethan lost his Dad. As I told Ethan , I hope you will always remember how much that your Dad loved you and that he will always be watching over you . When you see a star twinkling know that he is behind it winking at you. For of all the wonderful things he has done in his life , it was bringing you up that made him the proudest .

God Bless you Jake ! Kevin may you rest knowing that this young man will always know how much you loved him..........

I remember Kevin, early in his career, as a forceful advocate for children for whom he served as Law Guardian and as a defender of the indigent.

Oh, how he enjoyed his bassett hound, who had a place of honor in his office!

My last meeting with Kevin was typical; a cheery greeting called across the street in Delhi.

We have many fond memories of Kevin: as a kid visiting our home, hanging out with our kids (Bruce was a classmate at DA and Albany Law); swimming in the pool (how he loved that), always getting a laugh with all around. It was a pleasure to work with him in the title field; he had a brilliant mind. He will be missed. Barbara & Bob McKeegan
